Ecommerce Site - Shelburne Dufferin Market Place |
BackgroundThe Town of Shelburne conducted an e-commerce survey in July 2020. 76.7% of the participants surveyed said yes or would consider participating in an ecommerce site. Shelburne EDC received funding from Innovation Guelph's Community Collaboration Project. The projects goal is to brings together community stakeholders to identify and implement solutions to help solve some of the challenges main street businesses are facing due to COVID with funding provided by Digital Main Street. Digital Main Street (DMS) is a program focused on assisting main street small businesses (MSB) with their adoption of technologies. Through a partnership with FedDev Ontario and the Province of Ontario, grant Economic Development applied for funding for an e-commerce mall site through Innovation Guelph and was awarded the full grant ($7,184) - Staff Report |
