2024 Fall Hydrant Flushing

Notice Of Fall Hydrant Flushing September 16 – October 4, 2024

The Town of Shelburne will be commencing hydrant flushing September 16 – October 4 during the hours of 7:00 a.m. –  3:30 p.m. (Monday-Friday).

Zone 1:  September 16 – 20 (West of Owen Sound St/North of Hwy 89)

Zone 2:  September 23 – 27  (East of Owen Sound St/North of Hwy 89)

Zone 3: September 30 – October 4 (South of Hwy 89)

Flushing releases the buildup of iron and minerals from the Town’s watermains, keeping sediment from building up. This process may cause discolouration of your water due to higher mineral content.  If you notice discolouration in your water, run a cold tap in your laundry tub or bathtub for 5-10 minutes to clear the water.
