Marion was born in London, England and came to Canada as a child. She has lived in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Caledon and Dufferin County.
She has drawn and painted since being a child and has embarked on many artistic journeys. From an advertising art school in Montreal; night painting classes after work; “en plein air” painting weeks in Grand Manan, New Brunswick & the shorelines of Nova Scotia; evening classes at OCAD to 7-day “paint weeks” with fellow artists in the Town of Mono.
She has been a long time member of the Dufferin Arts Council; Orangeville Art Group; Brushfire Art Group and the Country Palette Artists. Her work has been shown in many venues in the Caledon/Dufferin County area as well as Sunnybrook Hospital. Her art hangs in Canada, France, Mexico and U.S.
She paints in both the watercolour and acrylic mediums and is mainly drawn to the outside world…capturing sunlight through the trees; clouds racing across the sky; water rushing over rocks and to the incredible differences in our Canadian seasons.
Saving our beautiful environment is very important to Marion and she feels compelled to keep capturing the scenic beauty before it is lost to urban sprawl.
She currently lives in the Town of Mono with her husband and 2 cats.

Phyllis took her first drawing course in 2004. She quickly decided to focus on portraiture, taking lessons from Laurie McGaw. Over the years she has also taken classes with Linda Evans, Harold Klunder and John David Anderson.
Although she is not a member of any artistic organizations, for at least 10 years before COVID Phyllis participated in 7-day “paint weeks” with a group of congenial artists from Dufferin County.
Phyllis works mostly in oil. She has also done cow portraits and landscapes.
Phyllis lives on a farm in Mulmur Township with her husband Morley Brown. She draws inspiration from the rural landscapes just out side her door.
