Streams Community Hub has taken over the Shelburne Town Hall Art Gallery to showcase the work of local artists, including both youth lead and practicing artists from the community.

Each piece featured at the Streams Art Gallery Takeover is for sale, priced between $50.00 and $800.
Upon making a purchase, 50% of the selling price is directed towards supporting Streams Community Hub, and buyers will receive a tax receipt for the charitable portion of their contribution.
Meet Ayden, a 16-year-old with a passion for art and language. From acting to singing, she dives into various interests while juggling a job at McDonald's. Since childhood, art has been her calling, and exhibiting her work in a gallery is a lifelong dream.

Megan is an arts facilitator and entrepreneur specializing in crochet and fiber arts in the town of Shelburne. She earned a fine arts degree from OCADU.
From a young age, Megan has been a creative soul, experimenting with different art forms as a way to express herself. With a confident spirit and a willingness to try anything, Megan is open to new challenges and experiences.
Now, reigniting her passion for drawing and painting, Megan is on a journey of self-exploration and creative freedom.

Meet Layla, a 12-year-old dragon enthusiast with a knack for bringing these mythical creatures to life through her drawings. With a keen eye for detail, Layla delights in experimenting with various textures to add depth and character to her dragon artwork.

Jo Thomson is an experimental photographer and photo artist based in Mono, ON. Using foraged botanicals and traditional photographic processes, Jo creates unique art prints under the brand name Florigin. Jo specializes in two processes: the Photogram and the Cyanotype, which both use the ‘contact’ method, resulting in prints that are original and one-of-a-kind.

Naomi Cameron, a student at Centre Dufferin District High School, has completed fine arts and interior design classes from grades 10 to 12. Her passion for creativity extends beyond the classroom, often filling her notebooks with doodles and spending her free time drawing, painting, and exploring textile arts like quilting and beading. Naomi describes herself as "compulsively creative," finding inspiration everywhere, from doodling on bus windows to creating full-scale paintings and drawings.

Meet Kyle Chinyenze, a budding grade 7 artist whose passion for art was ignited by his love of video games and drawing. Drawing since the age of 6, Kyle finds solace in his art, using it as a means to stay calm during stressful times. His creativity knows no bounds, as he draws inspiration daily to create new artworks. With a deep-seated passion for art, Kyle dreams of sharing his talent with the world.

Aliy Demedeiros has been painting, drawing, and pretty much anything revolving around art for as long as she can remember. Art has been a big passion and hobby for her, and this is the second time she has submitted to any art gallery, exhibit, or fundraiser.

With an unwavering dedication to self-expression, she aspires to persist in her artistic endeavors in the years to come.

Emily Payne is a grade 12 student at Centre Dufferin District High School. Her passions encompass environmental advocacy, women's empowerment, and instigating change within business spheres. Raised in a creatively inclined family, she finds joy in expressing herself through various mediums such as music, art, and film.

Drawing inspiration from Van Gogh's 'Starry Night,' the Art Explorers Class at Streams Community Hub collaborated on a project where each child (ages 7-11) explored a different medium. From acrylics to watercolors, pastels to mixed media, they reimagined the masterpiece, infusing it with their individual flair. This collaborative effort celebrates not only Van Gogh's iconic work but also the boundless creativity of young artists discovering their own unique voices.
Jason's artistic journey began at age 7, sparked by his sister and cousin's influence. Although he once aspired to be a professional artist, his focus shifted to music and sports. Now, as an elementary school teacher in Toronto, Jason nurtures creativity in his students and enjoys drawing in his spare time. He's passionate about improving his skills through online art classes and runs an online apparel brand called Spread Love, promoting positivity.
