Walter’s Creek Park was upgraded in 2024 to offer an improved and inclusive play structure and park with AODA compliant features.

The CIP provides a strategy to articulate a vision for the downtown and surrounding areas, to attract more people and businesses to Shelburne.

Grace Tipling Concert Hall Revitalization
We will work together to build a clear vision of how Grace Tipling Hall can best serve the community of Shelburne and surrounding areas.

The splash pad is in partnership with the Rotary Club of Shelburne which led a fundraising initiative to contribute $300,000 of the $700,000 project cost. Splash pad equipment purchased by the Rotary is expected to be delivered in late August to early September 2022.

Jack Downing Park RevitalizationThrough community consultations, (The CIP which recognized Jack Downing Park as BIG MOVE #8 - Redesign Jack Downing Park to become the community’s ‘living room’, and the May 5, 2022, Jack Downing Park Revitalization Survey), the redesigned park addresses the need improve the accessibility and provide a space that will positively impact the downtown core and provide an important economic driver.

Parks and Recreation Master Plan
The Town of Shelburne Council received the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The Master Plan will help determine future needs and priorities for delivering parks, recreation and culture facilities, services and programs to the community.

New Water Tower - Luxton Way
The Town of Shelburne will soon have a new water tower, beginning construction this year and starting operations in 2022. The new water tower will be located on Luxton Way, just east of the Town’s public works yard.

Inspired by similar installations in other towns and cities worldwide, the Town of Shelburne Council considered the installation of three crosswalks at prominent locations in close proximity to downtown.

Off Leash Dog Park - Fiddle Park
The Off Leash Dog Park opened on June 9, 2022. The off leash dog park is a park for dogs to exercise and play off leash, located at Fiddle Park.

Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts - KTH Park
The Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts opened on September 9, 2022. The tennis and pickleball courts will be a great addition to the Town’s recreation asset management portfolio and will provide another avenue for outdoor play.
