Recreation Complex offers a variety of programs for youth. 

 Babysitting course

The Red Cross Babysitting Course will teach you skills for staying home alone, looking after other children and basic first aid. To register for this course, you must be between 11 - 15 years of age.

 Home alone and safety for kids

The Home Alone and Safety for Kids program will help you build confidence and knowledge about staying home alone. You will develop greater independence and this course will give your parents peace of mind when they leave you alone. To register for this course, you must be between the ages of 9 and 12.

PA day camps

Spend your PA day participating in a wide range of fun activities including outdoor play, games, crafts, ice skating and much more. This is a great opportunity for children to meet new friends and stay busy on their PA day. Children need to bring a Peanut/Nut free lunch, weather appropriate clothing (including outdoor wear), close toed shoes. More information will be provided after registration. Campers interested in ice skating must bring their own skates and CSA approved helmet.

 

Drop Off: 8:00-9:00am

Pick Up: 4:00-5:00pm

Before Care: 7:00-8:00am ($9.00 per child)

Aftercare: 5:00-6:00pm ($9.00 per child)

Both Before and Aftercare: $15.00 per child

Red Cross (Blended) Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED Course

This blended learning course includes 1 day (7-8 hours) at home online training prior to the one day in class training. The online at home portion must be completed prior to the 1 day (8 hours) in class portion.

Participants must be a minimum of 13 years of age.

 Summer day camps

Every summer, the CDRC runs a series of day camps for children between the ages of 4 and 12. This is a great program to keep your child active during the summer months.
