If you own a dog within the Town of Shelburne, you are required to license them each year.
Pet licensing in Shelburne is managed by DocuPet Inc. Visit shelburneon.docupet.com to license your dog and learn more about their Lost Pet System and local DocuPet Rewards Program that are included with your dog license.
You can also license your dog:

- In person at: Town of Shelburne Administration Office (Town Hall), 203 Main Street East, Shelburne ON, L9V 3K7

Purchase or renew a Dog License
Purchasing a license ensures that your dog is in compliance with the Animal Control By-law.
General rules include:
- a dog must wear the tag on its collar at all times
- all dogs are required to be licensed within 7 days from the date of acquisition
- dog licenses are valid for one year from the date of purchase or renewal
- a fine may apply if your dog is not licensed
The animal control by-law was enacted to ensure the health and safety of residents and their dogs.
