Pets are valued members of a family. In order to keep your pet safe, the Town of Shelburne promotes responsible pet ownership through our Animal Control By-law. Finding a lost pet can be challenging, especially if they lack a tag. Keep your pet safe by purchasing a dog tag through the Town.
At the Town of Shelburne, we have made paying a dog tag convenient. You can pay your dogtag online, over the phone or in person.
If you own a dog older than 3 months, you must purchase dog tags by April 1 each year. Fill out a dog tag application and drop it off at Town Hall at 203 Main St E.
Dog tags are a small, flat metal tag that are worn on a dog's collar, which has your dog's municipality and contact information.
You should update your dog tag information (at no charge) whenever you change phone numbers or move to a new address.
