Black History Month

The Dufferin County Canadian Black Association (DCCBA), in partnership with the Town of Shelburne, proudly hosts an annual Black History Month Celebration each February. This important community event honours the history, achievements, culture, and contributions of Black Canadians, while spotlighting local leaders, artists, youth, and changemakers.

Each year, the celebration reflects the Government of Canada’s national Black History Month theme, highlighting the stories, brilliance, and generational impact of Black communities across the country.
