The Town of Shelburne’s annual Touch a Truck event invites children and families to get up close with the big machines that keep our community running.
Explore real vehicles, meet the operators who use them every day, and enjoy a fun and educational day for all ages.
This Year’s Event Details
Date: Saturday, May 23, 2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Sensory Hour: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (no horns, sirens, or flashing lights)
Location: Operations Yard, 124 Luxton Way
Cost: Free (donations to the local food bank encouraged)
This free community event is part of Public Works Week and offers an exciting chance to see vehicles like snow ploughs, excavators, backhoes, and even emergency responder trucks! Plus, check out the GFL garbage truck and more. Sensory Hour (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) ensures a quieter experience, with no horns, sirens, or flashing lights for those sensitive to loud noises or bright visuals.
