Treats in the Street
Treats in the Streets is a fun, family‑friendly Halloween tradition hosted by the Shelburne BIA in partnership with the Town of Shelburne. Each year, families are invited to dress up, explore downtown, and enjoy trick‑or‑treating with local businesses, special activities, and community spirit.
This annual event brings together residents, businesses, and volunteers for a safe and exciting Halloween celebration in the heart of Shelburne.
This Year’s Event Details
Date: To be determined
Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Start at Jack Downing Park to pick up your trick‑or‑treat bag and your ballot for the Great Pumpkin Hunt
- Visit participating businesses along Main Street and Owen Sound Street
- Enjoy photo booths, pumpkins hidden along the route, and chances to win prizes
- Donations will be accepted for the Shepherd’s Cupboard Food Bank
What to Expect Every Year
Families begin their adventure at Jack Downing Park, where they receive their trick‑or‑treat bag and information for the activities planned throughout downtown. From there, children can trick‑or‑treat at participating businesses along Main Street and Owen Sound Street.
Along the route, families will find fun features such as photo booths, pumpkins for the Great Pumpkin Hunt, and other festive surprises organized by the Shelburne BIA and local businesses. The event fosters community connection, showcases local shops, and offers a safe, engaging Halloween experience for all ages.
Donations to support the Shepherd’s Cupboard Food Bank are encouraged each year.
