The following by-laws govern the regulations and maintenance of the Shelburne Cemetery:
Shelburne's Cemetery was originally located at St. Paul's Church. In 1879, the town council arranged for the clearing of the new burial grounds at the site of the present-day cemetery – 156035 Highway 10 North Shelburne Ontario.
A walk through the cemetery reveals many monuments with local family names clustered together. If you're in search of your family roots, a cemetery visit may offer early clues to your family history. The stories of those who rest in the cemetery weave together and are the fabric of the history of our community. Many date back to shortly after the opening of the cemetery in 1879.
