2024 Street Sweeping
The Town is undergoing its annual street sweeping program for Spring 2024. Sand and debris are swept from the Town’s roads and parking lots to keep streets and sewers clean. This prevents materials from clogging storm sewers and provides a safe and clean driving surface.
The street sweepers first pass is beginning this week. Residents should take this time to rake any sand from their lawns onto the curb for collection.
The street sweepers' will return for a second pass of streets to remove the excess material accumulated at the curb.
Sweeping efforts are generally completed by June, weather permitting.
Resident Reminders:
- Do not park on residential streets during street sweeping operations,
- Do not place garbage containers or recycling boxes on the road and bring bins in as soon as possible on collection days,
- Keep sports equipment off the road and far enough back from the curb and boulevard,
- Be understanding as there may be some noise and dust while sweeping is underway,
- Be patient, weather conditions may prevent sweeping operations,
- Do not sweep material into piles on the road,
- Use caution when travelling near sweeping equipment.
