Boulevard Tree Trimming

Expected work period: July 23 to August 31 2021

Scope and Location of Work: Entire Town, Boulevard Section

Staff may be required to trim trees along road allowances (boulevard) in the Town of Shelburne. The Town boulevard varies in width but may include a portion of grass area inside the sidewalk. Trees may require trimming along the road allowance if:

• The tree branches are obstructing the visibility of an intersection, or road sign
• The tree appears to have dead sections, however, does not meet the requirements for removal
• The tree branches shade a portion of the road causing ice to form on the road
• Branches overhang sidewalks maintained by the municipality so to not interfere with pedestrian traffic or maintenance equipment
