By-Law 67-23 Reduce the Speed Limit on the Connecting Link

40 km Speed Limit on the Connecting Link

The Town of Shelburne Council approved By-Law 67-23 on January 8, 2024, to reduce the speed limit on the Connecting Link to 40 km from 50 km. 

The Town received Director’s Endorsement from the Ministry of Transportation for the speed reduction on April 8, 2024. 

The speed limit on all Town roads is 40 km and now the speed limit on the Connecting Link in Shelburne is also 40 km.

The Town will has requested that the County of Dufferin reduce the speed limits from 60 km/h to 40 km/h on County Road 11 from the intersection at Highway 89 to 2nd Line, and on County Road 124 within Shelburne to 40 km/hr. Read report CAO 2023-20 Traffic Calming for more information.
