Presentation
Council received a presentation from Dufferin County regarding BetterHomes Dufferin and the Local Improvement Charge Home Energy Retrofit Program.
Proclamation
Mayor Wade Mills on behalf of Council proclaimed May, 2025 as Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness month. Read the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Awareness Month Proclamation. A flag raising will be held on Monday, May 5 at 10:00 a.m. in Jack Downing Park.

2026 Municipal Election – Alternative Voting Method
Council approved Alternative (telephone and internet) Voting Methods for the 2026 Municipal Election.
By-Laws
Council received and approved the following by-laws for the Town of Shelburne.
By-law 17-2025
By-law 17-2025 being a bylaw to strike the rates of taxation, and to further provide for penalty and interest in default of payment thereof for the year 2025.
By-law 19-2025
By-law 19-2025 being a by-law for enabling the Local Improvement Charge Home Energy Retrofit Program.
By-law 20-2025
By-law 20-2025 being a by-law to authorize voting by telephone and internet for the 2026 municipal election.
Waving of Fees
Council approved fee waiving requests for The Orangeville Food Bank for use of Jack Downing Park to hold their Neighbours Market and for the Centre Dufferin District High School for use of Natasha Patterson Pavilion during their Boys’ and Girls’ CWOSSA Rugby Championships.
