Proclamation & Flag Raising
Mayor Wade Mills on behalf of Council proclaimed September 2025 as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Read the full Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Proclamation.
A flag raising ceremony will be held on September 2, 2025, time to be determined.
Report from the Director of Financial Services/Treasurer
Council adopted the Water & Wastewater (Sewer) Collection Policy as amended.
- Council approved a reduction in the time period to amend the proposed budget under O. Reg 530/22 from 30 days to 15 days.
- The time period to override the Head of Council’s veto on a proposed budget amendment was also reduced from 15 days to 6 days.
- Council approved the 2026 Budget Schedule as presented.
Waiving of fees
Council received a fee waiving request from the Shelburne Ethnic Group for Community Fundraiser for the use of Grace Tipling Hall in the amount of $500.00.
Communications
Council discussed correspondence from Melancthon Township regarding the Strada Quarry application to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
Council supported the motion from the Town of Orangeville regarding Elect Respect.
