Proclamation

Mayor Wade Mills on behalf of Council proclaimed September 19, 2025 as Concussion Awareness Day. Read the full Concussion Awareness Day Proclamation.

Report from the Economic Development Officer

Report ED 2025-01 from the Economic Development Officer regarding Dufferin County Community Harvest Initiative Grant

Council received information that the Town has been awarded a Dufferin County Community Harvest Initiative Grant Reserve and received and approved By-law 34-2025 for the Mayor and Clerk to enter into an agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure for the Dufferin County Community Harvest Initiative. The remainder of the funds required for the project will be funded from the Economic Development Reserve and the Marketing and Communications Accounts.

Council received and approved the enacting of By-law 32-2025 to appoint Terrance Gole as the Drainage Superintendent for the Town of Shelburne.

Report LS2025-07 Winter Parking Hours and Duration of Winter Season 2025/2026 – Alignment with Ontario Winter Maintenance Standards

Council approved a reduction in the time period for winter parking.

  • Winter Parking restrictions will be December 1, 2025 – April 15, 2026 and will be enforce from 12:00 am to 7:00 am.
  • There will be holiday exemptions December 24, 2025  from 12:01am to 11:59pm December 27, 2025 and  December 31, 2025 from 12:01am to 11:59pm January 1, 2026.
  • Holiday exemptions may be suspended during significant weather events.

By-laws and Resolutions

Council received and approved the following by-laws for the Town of Shelburne

By-law 31-2025

By-law 31-2025 being a by-law to delegate administrative and hearing powers to Screening and Hearing Officers for adjudication of reviews and appeals for Administrative Penalties.

By-law 33-2025

By-law 33-2025 being a by-law to appoint Hearing Officers for the adjudication of Reviews and Appeals of Administrative Penalties for Automated Speed Enforcement Contraventions.

Resolution

Council passed a resolution regarding the future of the Town of Shelburne’s involvement in the Shelburne and District Fire Board.

September 22, October 6 & 27, November 10 & 24, December 8.

Meetings commence at 6:30 p.m.
