There were 1,135 new COVID-19 cases reported in Ontario today which is down again from last week.  Province-wide, our cumulative reported totals are now 527,180 cases, 501,942 resolved cases, and 8,697 reported deaths. It is also being reported that there are currently 1,072 patients hospitalized with the virus with 650 currently in ICU and 452 on ventilators.

Within the Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health region, we have seen an additional 20 new cases reported since yesterday. We currently have 204 active cases throughout the region. There are currently 32 health unit residents in hospital. Within Dufferin County specifically, we have had 6 new cases reported within the last 24-hour period. Our current active case count stands at 51 for the county. There are 8 Dufferin County residents being reported as in hospital. Within the Town of Shelburne, it is reported that we have 18 residents who are currently positive.
