Dog License Administration Changes Coming Soon

Haven’t received a dog tag yet? That’s ok! The Town of Shelburne is thrilled to partner with DocuPet.

The anticipated change will begin mid to late February. Dog Owners will receive a renewal notification from DocuPet starting in February and March. Letters will take up to 5 business days to arrive.

All dogs in the Town of Shelburne must be licensed yearly. Previously, all licenses expired annually on December 31st, but through the new licensing program with DocuPet, all licenses will be valid for a full 365 days after purchase. Current dog licenses are valid until April 30, 2023.

DocuPet strives to fulfill their mission of helping more pets find a home by working with communities to increase awareness of the importance of pet licenses and the role they play in funding critical community initiatives.
