Eastbound Advanced Left Turn - Entrance to new plaza at Hwy 10/89 at Ojibway Road

The community has shared their ongoing concerns and frustrations with Council and the Town regarding the lack of an advanced left turn signal into the new plaza. Council also discussed their concerns most recently at the September 12, 2022 Council meeting. It was agreed there was an urgent need for the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to install an advanced left turn signal.  

The Town of Shelburne received confirmation from MTO on September 16, 2022 that they have reviewed the intersection at the new plaza and do agree that an eastbound advanced left turn signal is required.

While the Town has not been provided with an exact timeline, MTO has confirmed they are currently making arrangements for the installation of an eastbound advanced left turn signal.
