Local Artist Megan Mare Debuts First Solo Exhibition at Shelburne Town Hall Art Gallery
Shelburne’s art scene is set to shine this September with the launch of Threads and Strokes: A Tapestry of Expression, the first solo exhibition by emerging Canadian artist Megan Mare. The show opens on September 8 and runs through September 26, with a public reception on Sunday, September 7 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Shelburne Town Hall Art Gallery.
Mare’s work is a celebration of experimentation and self-expression, blending plaster and pigment paintings, bleach-dyed textiles, and mixed media pieces. Her unique approach creates a dynamic interplay between structure and spontaneity, inviting viewers to explore the tactile and visual richness of each piece.
