For Immediate Release: September 9, 2025
Shelburne, ON — At the September 8, 2025 Council meeting, report LS2025-07 - Winter Parking Hours and Duration of Winter Season 2025/2026 following the review, Council approved changes to the winter parking duration for the upcoming season.
The Town of Shelburne is advising residents that winter on-street parking restrictions will be now in effect from December 1, 2025, through April 15, 2026. Previously winter parking restrictions were from November 15 to April 15.
To support efficient snow removal and ensure safe roadways, on-street parking will be prohibited daily between 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. during this period. Vehicles left on the street during restricted hours will receive parking tickets.
Holiday Exemptions
To provide added flexibility for residents and their visitors during the holidays, exemptions have been approved by Council and will be in place during the following periods:
- 12:01am December 24 to 11:59 pm December 27
- 12:01 am December 31 to 11:59 pm January 1
Please note: these exemptions may be suspended if significant snowfall or a declared weather event requires uninterrupted plowing operations. Follow the Town’s website and social media for up-to-date information.
The Town thanks residents for their cooperation in helping to keep roads clear and safe during the winter months.
