Dear Resident,

Our firm, S. Burnett & Associates Limited (SBA), has been retained by the Town of Shelburne to manage the construction of the Well No. 3 water treatment system upgrade off of Cedar Street, between Maple Court and Muriel Street, Shelburne. SBA has retained the contractor, W.S Morgan Construction Limited (WSMC) to complete this project.

The purpose of this notice is to advise residents of the upcoming construction activities scheduled to begin the second week of September, 2022 and continue for 32 weeks, to April, 2023. During this time, construction works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm Monday to Friday, with some possible occasional work to happen on Saturdays. The work will include the expansion of the existing Well No. 3 pumphouse building and upgrades to the treatment system within the pumphouse.

Health and Safety Awareness:
• Noise – You may experience noise as a result of construction.
• Vibration – You may experience some vibration due to the work being done.
• Dust and Mud – There may be increased levels of dust and mud near the work site (especially with high winds).
• Traffic Delays – Lane closures are sometimes necessary during open cut construction. You’ll see personnel controlling traffic and heavy equipment such as excavators onsite.
• Open Trenches – Do not enter any open trenches.

Throughout construction activities, SBA and WSMC will have staff on site to provide construction updates, as well as answer any questions or concerns.
