Proclamation - Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day October 15

Mayor Wade Mills, on behalf of the Council of the Town of Shelburne, do hereby proclaim October 15th Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day in the Town of Shelburne.

Proclamation

WHEREAS, October 15th has been declared by the Province of Ontario as Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day as a result of the passage of Bill 141: Pregnancy and Infant Loss, Research and Awareness Act; and 

WHEREAS, thousands of families across Canada are devastated each year by the death of their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth and neonatal loss; and 

WHEREAS, the unique grief of bereaved parents should be acknowledged and special support given to the many families who have suffered from such a tragic experience; 

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT, I, Wade Mills Mayor of the Corporation of the Town of Shelburne, do hereby proclaim October 15th Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day in the Town of Shelburne.
