Public Notice: Hot Mix Asphalt Resurfacing

NOTICE TO RESIDENTS & BUSINESSES CONCERNING THE HOT MIX ASPHALT RESURFACING OF DESIGNATED MUNICIPAL ROADWAYS 2020

The Town of Shelburne is advising residents and businesses that the proposed asphalt resurfacing of designated municipal roadways within the Town of Shelburne is presently underway by Coco Paving Ltd.
The general project works include milling and removal of existing roadway asphalt material and supply and placement of new hot mix asphalt within the following locations (please see attached map for specific affected areas):

1. Simon Court: (End of Cul-de-Sac to Simon Street)
2. Mill Street: (East of Victoria Street to Dufferin Oaks Long Term Care)
3. William Street: (from House No. 308 William Street to corner of O’Flynn Street & Owen Sound Street)
4. Steeles Street: (from Intersection of Highway No.124 to West Limit of (Sharpe) Driveway Entrance)
5. Main Street: (West Limit of Owen Sound Street to West Limit of Adeline Street)

Please note there will be areas affected at times due to contractor heavy equipment traffic in the roadway areas listed above. The Town understands vehicle traffic is essential in these areas and as such the contractor will provide traffic control to ensure safe passage during construction should it be necessary in this area. We also ask that residents to remove their vehicles from the above roadways prior to commencement of this proposed work.

Works will be performed at the above locations between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

There is potential for noise associated with construction to be heard during this time. All locations listed above are scheduled to begin on Wednesday September 23rd and will finish approximately two week later weather permitting.
