Remembrance Day - Public Notice and Road Closure

The Town of Shelburne is sharing information regarding the Remembrance Day Service which is summarized below. 

Remembrance Day Service

The Royal Canadian Legion, Shelburne Branch 220 will be holding their annual Remembrance Day Service on Saturday November 11, 2023.

The service will begin at the Shelburne Legion, 203 William Street, at 9:45am. Doors will open to those attending for 9:30am.

There will be a Remembrance March from the Shelburne Legion to the Cenotaph at Town Hall at 10:45am.

The 45-60 minute service at the Cenotaph will follow.  The service includes a moment of silence, reading of In Flanders Fields, singing of the National and Royal Anthem, placing of wreaths and poppies and March off the Colours.

Road Closure

Victoria Street will be closed from Main Street East to Andrew Street between 10:30am – 12:00pm for the service.
