Road Resurfacing Of Municipal Roadways 2021

The Town of Shelburne runs an annual resurfacing program in order to maintain our road infrastructure and address road conditions.

The resurfacing of municipal roadways within the Town of Shelburne will be underway starting the week of September 27, 2021 by Aecon Construction and Materials Ltd.

The resurfacing will include milling and removal of existing roadway material, and supply and placement of new asphalt.

Resurfacing Locations 

1. Second Avenue East (William Street to Owen Sound Street intersection)
2. Robert Street: (Jelly Street North to 460 Robert Street)
3. James Street North: (Foodland Entrance to First Avenue, including intersection)
4. Sarah Court: (End of Cul-de-Sac to James Street)
5. Andrew Street: (James Street to Dufferin Street)
6. Laneway (South of Main Street between Jelly Street and Dufferin Street)

Higher Traffic and Noise Potential

Please note there will be higher traffic in the areas due to road resurfacing. Aecon Construction and Materials Ltd. will provide traffic control to ensure safe passage during construction should it be necessary in these areas.

There is potential for noise associated with construction to be heard during this time. 

Parking on the Roadway

We ask that residents remove their vehicles from the listed roadways prior to September 13th, 2021.

Resurfacing Schedule - Weather Dependent

Resurfacing is scheduled between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. All locations listed above are estimated to begin between the dates of Monday, September 27 until Friday, October 15, 2021.

Please be advised that the dates of the schedule are weather dependent and may change without notice.  We thank you for your cooperation during this time.
