PUBLIC NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION WORK
Hot Mix Asphalt Resurfacing of Municipal Roadways 2023
The Town of Shelburne runs an annual resurfacing program in order to maintain our road infrastructure and address road conditions.
The resurfacing of municipal roadways within the Town of Shelburne will be underway starting August 29, 2023 by Forest Contractors LTD.
The resurfacing will include milling and removal of existing roadway material, and supply and placement of new asphalt.
Traffic impacts can be expected during the construction period. There is also a potential for noise associated with construction to be heard during this time.
Project Location, Map and Schedule
Construction works are set to begin for Site 2 on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at approximately 6:00am and completed tentatively on Thursday August 31, 2023.
The remainder of the project schedule is to be confirmed and the webpage will be updated accordingly.
Residents should be aware that this schedule is subject to change due to weather impacts and other unforeseen construction delays.

Industrial Road from 720 Industrial Road – Centennial Road - Start Date September 14, 2023
Construction works are set to begin on Thursday September 14 at approximately 6:00am and completed tentatively on Friday September 15, 2023.
Construction works are set to begin on Tuesday August 29, 2023 at approximately 6:00am and completed tentatively on Thursday August 31, 2023.
Fiddle Park Lane from Berry Street – Orvis Crescent - Start Date September 11
Construction works are set to begin on Monday September 11 at approximately 6:00am and completed tentatively on Friday September 15, 2023.
Greenwood Street from Main Street – Municipal Laneway (Berwick Lane) - Start Date September 12
Construction works are set to begin on Tuesday September 12 at approximately 6:00am and completed tentatively on Friday September 15, 2023.
Construction works are set to begin on Wednesday September 13 at approximately 6:00am and completed tentatively on Monday September 18, 2023
Please be aware that temporary full road closures may occur during key components of the construction project, but care shall be taken by the contractor to allow full access to local traffic.

Traffic Impact
Residents can expect temporary road closures to through traffic at the project locations over the construction period. This includes not having access to your driveways for short durations during critical components of the project (milling and paving). Flag persons will be on site at every location to ensure traffic safety is always maintained.
