Drive-In Movie Experience – COVID 19 FAQ

The Town of Shelburne wants to provide you with valuable information to insure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.

Entrance to the Park will be through the South Gate, you will be asked to present your ticket on your phone, paper tickets will not be accepted. If you are unable to do this, please contact edc@shelburne.ca

The Town of Shelburne will have parking spaces marked-off to insure social distancing. Cars will not be permitted to ‘double up’ into one space. There are a fixed number of permitted parking spaces, and this number cannot be exceeded.

Blitzful Treats will be operating a concession. Those who access concessions in person must stand two metres/six feet apart while waiting to be served, wear a mask and must immediately return to their vehicle after being served.

Participants are always to practice social distancing and wear a mask when outside of their vehicles.

Due to COVID 19, washroom use will be slower than normal and control use of the washrooms will be in place. One family at a time will be permitted to use the washrooms.
 If you bring your own snacks please do not leave garbage at the Park, we ask that you take all garbage home.

The gates will open at 5:30 PM

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Fiddle Park, Tiffany McCabe, Art Therapist and the Town of Shelburne are organizing an art installation for Shelburne’s Community Garden.

All are welcome, NO MATERIALS NEEDED. In the spirit of community come out and ‘Get your paint on’ a rock, and/or glass disc, which will be placed within the Community Garden.Due to COVID 19 paint stations will be spread out through-out the park and spaces will be limited.

Social distancing and COVID 19 practices will be in place, please wear a mask and expect slower than usual wait times.

Can I park my vehicle anywhere to watch the movie?

The driver of a motor vehicle at the drive-in theatre must ensure that it is positioned at least two metres away from other motor vehicles.

Do I have to stay in my vehicle?

Each person in attendance at the drive-in theatre, other than persons working at the drive-in cinema, must remain within a motor vehicle designed to be closed to the elements except

• Where necessary to purchase admission/concession to the drive-in cinema
• Where necessary to use a washroom
• As may otherwise be required for the purposes of health and safety

Can I watch the movie from my convertible or sit in the back of my pick-up truck?

No. Each person in attendance at the drive-in movie theatre, other than persons working at the drive-in movie theatre, must remain within a motor vehicle designed to be closed to the elements.

Will I be able to use a washroom while I am at a drive-in movie theatre?

Yes. Any washrooms that are open for use at the drive-in movie theatre must be cleaned and disinfected as frequently as is necessary to maintain a sanitary environment.
