Significant Snowfall Update

Significant Snowfall Update

We have received significant snowfall this week, and we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as our staff works diligently to clear roads and sidewalks as quickly and effectively as possible.

Please remember to give snowplows plenty of room as they work to keep our roads safe.

Snowbanks: Our snowbank removal contractor is scheduled to remove high snowbanks throughout Town on a priority basis. Please stay tuned for updates!

Windrows: Residents are responsible for clearing the snow left at the bottom of their driveway. If you have already cleared your driveway but snowplows have not yet passed, be prepared for a windrow at the bottom of your driveway.

Snow on the Road: Please do not push or plow snow onto the road. This creates safety hazards and is subject to fines under the Highway Traffic Act. Residents should use their whole yard for snow storage and not deposit snow on sidewalks.

We ask that you allow for 24 hours after a snowstorm before making any clearing requests. To report a concern, complete the online form here (https://forms.shelburne.ca/Clerks/Report-a-Concern)
