Summer Forever” Exhibit Brings Artistic Warmth to Shelburne

As summer reaches its peak, the Shelburne Town Hall Art Gallery is celebrating the season with a splash of colour and creativity. The upcoming exhibit, “Summer Forever”, opens on August 4 and runs through August 22, showcasing the work of the Colour and Form Society (CFS).

This exhibit offers a rich tapestry of visual art, featuring paintings in acrylic, oil, and watercolour, along with drawings in pencil and charcoal. The collection spans a wide range of styles, from realism to abstract, and subjects including portraits, landscapes, animals, and nature.

Location: 203 Main Street East, Shelburne
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Founded in 1952, the Colour and Form Society is a not-for-profit organization that has long been a cornerstone of Ontario’s visual arts scene. The group is known for its commitment to independent artistic expression and for supporting a diverse community of artists.

“Summer Forever” is a celebration of both the season and the enduring power of art. Whether you're an art collector, a casual admirer, or simply looking for a cultural outing, this exhibit promises something for everyone.

Admission is free, and many of the works will be available for purchase.

The Shelburne Town Hall Art Gallery is located at 203 Main Street East, Shelburne. The gallery hours are 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
