Temporary Road Closure: 2024 Santa Claus Parade

Santa Claus is coming to Town on Saturday December 07, 2024!

Please be advised temporary road closures will be in place on December 07, 2024 between 5:30pm and 8:00pm for the annual Shelburne BIA Santa Claus Parade.

The parade will begin to pass through neighbourhood streets at 6:00pm. This will be a rolling road closure which means roads and intersections will be closed as needed for the parade to pass and will reopen as the parade progresses. 

Roads impacted by this closure include:

• O’Flynn Street
• Robert Street
• Shelburne Place
• Jelly Street North
• Pineview Gardens
• James Street North
• Sarah Court
• First Avenue East
• William Street 

Residents are reminded to:

• Park all vehicles off the streets along the parade route,
• Not drive any vehicle along the parade route while it is underway,
• Watch for closure signage, barricades, and pedestrians during this time,
• Prepare for delays and detours, and plan ahead to avoid disruptions,
• Enjoy the parade! 

Although every effort will be made to limit the amount of disturbance, some inconveniences such as impeded traffic flows and access to driveways are to be expected.
