You need a business licence in order to operate a service or professional service establishment in the Town of Shelburne.

Complete the Business License Application Form online

Should a new sign be required for your restaurant, you must apply for a Sign Permit.

Application Details

Please include the following information and documentation with your application:

Master Business License
Proof of Lease agreement (if applicable)
Name and location of the service
Name and contact information of the owner
Licence fee
Copy of a Certificate of Insurance

Depending on the nature of your application, inspections and approvals may be required by:

Inspection compliance report from the Shelburne & District Fire Department (all publicly used spaces) - $200 inspection fee – Call 519-925-5111 to book an inspection
Approvals from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health
Building and Planning Divisions

It costs $138.00 to apply for a business licence.
