From mid-September to the end of March, the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex (CDRC) runs a variety of skating programs in the arena. These include hockey leagues, figure skating programs, public skating and shinny hockey.

Roller Skating |
Drop in recreational roller skating or blading. Participants must bring their own roller skates or roller blades. Helmets are highly recommended. Pre register in advance or drop in!

Leisure Skate |
Drop in recreational skating for those of all ages. This skate time is a quieter time for parent/tots, adults etc. Skate helpers are available for use. Fee: $3.50 per skater |
Adult Stick and Puck |
Adults can bring their sticks to the ice to improve their shot and stick handling. This is an unstructured ice time for adults to work on their skills. All participants are required to wear a CSA approved helmet. This program is unsupervised. Fee: $5.00 per person |
Shinny Hockey (Adult/55+) |
Shinny hockey is a non competitive, non contact, informal drop in hockey program. This program is unsupervised. Full equipment is required. Fee: $10.00 per player, $5.00 per goalie |
Public Skate |
Drop in recreational skating for people of all ages. Skate helpers are available for use. Fee: $4.00 per skater |
Figure Skating Skills - Ticket Ice |
This ice time is for practicing figure skating skills. Children under the aged 12 and under must be supervised by an adult during this time. |
Public skating rules |
If you attend any of our public skating hours, you must follow the public skating rules. All children under the age 10 must be with a guardian who is 12 years old or older. The CDRC highly recommends the use of CSA approved helmets during public skating. The following rules must be followed during public skate sessions:
