Our summer day camps are packed with fun and exciting activities! The CDRC summer day camp will focus on outdoor play, crafts, games and our very own camp swim. The daily camp schedule is subject to change and detailed information will be shared with registrants prior to the start of camp. |

Junior Leaders | ||||||||||||||||||
Dates: August 15 - August 19, 2022 Time: 9:00am-4:00pm Ages: 9-12 years Spend some time this summer learning skills that will last a lifetime. The CDRC Junior Leaders will begin exploring a variety of skills including leadership, teamwork, communication, problem solving through interactive/cooperative games and activities. Leaders will be introduced to basic first aid skills. Participants will have the opportunity to swim as apart of this program. This program must have a minimum 10 participants. This program includes:

Leaders in Training | ||||||||||||||||||
Dates: July 18 - July 22, 2022 Time: 9:00am-4:00pm Ages: 13 (born in 2009) - 15 years Back by popular demand, the CDRC Leaders in Training program. Participants will spend one week training where they will learn to develop leadership skills, learn about planning programs, resume building and much more. Once training is complete, participants will complete a minimum 1 week placement in the day camp setting. Participants will select which week they would like to complete their placement and all hours can go towards their community service hours. All participants must be comfortable in a pool setting. This program must have a minimum 10 participants. This program includes:

Junior Lifeguard Camp | ||||||||||||||||||
Dates: August 29 - September 1, 2022 Ages: 8-13 years Time: Drop off 8:00-9:00am and pick up 4:00-5:00pm Learn what it takes to be a lifeguard! This week will introduce campers to basic rescue and first aid skills while focusing on the importance of teamwork in the pool setting. Please note: all participants MUST pass a swim test prior to the start of camp. |

The 2022 CDRC summer day camp runs from 8:00am - 5:00pm. Participants are to be dropped off between 8:00-9:00am and to be picked up between 4:00-5:00pm. Before and after care is available from 7:00-8:00am and 5:00-6:00pm daily but must be arranged and paid for at the time of registration. | ||||||||||||||||||

All children must be a minimum of four years old (born in 2017) or a program's specified minimum age requirement by the first day of the program. All children must be able to take care of their own bathroom needs. | ||||||||||||||||||

We want to ensure that our Summer Day Camps provide a safe and fun environment for your child. As a result, all participants and staff must abide by the Town’s R Zone policy of respectful behaviour. To accommodate those with allergies, Summer Day Camps are a peanut-free zone.
Payments |
We accept cash, debit and credit card (additional 3% convenience fee). HST is additional to fees where applicable. Registration is confirmed upon payment of camp invoice. |
Cancellations & Refunds |
What happens if I miss a day?If you miss a day, you will not be rescheduled or refunded, it is always best to check the dates and times that have been scheduled for your camp. Refunds will not be issued due to weather conditions or pool fouling. Can I receive a refund if I need to withdraw from a program or it is cancelled?Refunds requested 10 days prior to the program start date will receive a full refund, less a $25 administration fee. Refunds requested within 10 days of camp will receive a 50% refund, less a $25 administration fee. No refunds will be issued after the start of camp. A refund will be issued for all programs cancelled by the CDRC. Withdrawal from a program for medical reasons will be considered on an individual basis and may require a medical note. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks to process a refund. How do I apply for a refund?All refund requests must be addressed to the Facility Administration Manager and must be in writing (including e-mail). |
Additional Fees |
Non-Resident FeeAll programs offered by the CDRC are subsidized by municipal taxes from our funding municipalities, which include: The Town of Shelburne, The Town of Mono, the Township of Amaranth and the Township of Melanchthon. To keep the cost low for residents who contribute to the CDRC, through their municipal taxes, a user fee of $12.00 per participant is added to the registration costs for non-residents. A non-resident is defined as anyone who does not pay property taxes directly to the funding municipalities. The CDRC reserves the right to request proof of residency. NSF Cheque FeeThere is a $25 fee for returned cheque. If your payment is returned, we will require the full payment plus the NSF fee paid by cash, debit or certified cheque to remain registered in the program. Additional Copy FeeTo reprint or copy tax receipts, a $5 fee per session, per program will apply |
