2026 Sidewalk Replacement Work Starting Soon in Shelburne
The Town of Shelburne will be replacing sections of sidewalk as part of its annual sidewalk repair program. This work helps keep sidewalks safe, accessible, and in good condition for everyone. C&G Concrete will complete the work on behalf of the Town.
PROJECT SCHEDULE
Work is expected to begin on August 31, 2026 and be completed by September 4, 2026. Construction will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Please note that the schedule may change due to weather or other unexpected delays.
PROJECT LOCATIONS
WORK INCLUDES
The work to be completed under this project includes:
- Removing existing sidewalk sections
- Installing new concrete sidewalks
- Repairing concrete curbs and gutters, where needed
- Restoring affected grass areas with topsoil and seed
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING CONSTRUCTION
Property Owners
Please remove any items located on Town property before construction begins to help prevent damage.
Examples include:
- Plants and landscaping
- Decorative items
- Sports equipment
- Pavers or stones
If you have:
- A sprinkler system
- An underground dog fence
- A robotic lawn mower wire
- A heated driveway system
- Please mark these areas or contact the Town before work begins.
Construction Impacts
Residents may notice:
- Noise from equipment
- Dust in the work area
- Temporary traffic disruptions
- The Town and contractor will do their best to keep disruptions to a minimum.
Please follow posted signs and be careful around work zones.
Sidewalk Access & Driveway Access
Parts of the sidewalk may be temporarily closed while work is underway. Please use alternate routes when required.
Parking
Please do not park on the side of the road where construction is taking place. If possible, park on another street and follow all posted parking regulations.
