Bridge Over Time Photography Exhibition Opens at Shelburne Town Hall Art Gallery

The Town of Shelburne is pleased to present Bridge Over Time, a photography exhibition by the Group of 8 Photographers, on display at the Shelburne Town Hall Art Gallery from October 5 to 26, 2026.

Bringing together eight accomplished photographers, the exhibition explores photography as both an artistic medium and a historical practice. Through a rich variety of images and printing techniques, visitors will discover work ranging from documentary and street photography to environmental portraiture, atmospheric landscapes, studio photography, and analogue photographic methods.

Visitors are invited to meet the artists during an Opening Reception on Sunday, October 18, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The afternoon will include light refreshments, displays of photographic projects, and a special presentation, Creatives in Conversation: Behind the Lens, at 3:00 p.m.

Photography enthusiasts can also participate in a Cyanotype Printing Workshop led by internationally renowned photographer Aditi Ganeev Sangwan earlier that day from noon to 2:00 p.m.

Whether you're a photography enthusiast, aspiring artist, or simply appreciate visual storytelling, Bridge Over Time offers an engaging opportunity to experience photography from multiple perspectives.

Artists Biographies

Aditi Ganeev Sangwan

Aditi Ganeev Sangwan was born and brought up in India. She has earned her PhD in visual art from prestigious Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan, where she later served as Professor in Department of Graphic Art before her recent move to Canada.

She is an Artist and Educator who loves to explore the potential of art practice through innovative ideas and interdisciplinary approach. She works with versatile mediums including photography, print making, painting and mixed media.

As a multidisciplinary artist, and photographic-based print maker, she works with light sensitive, non-toxic mediums as an ecologically sustainable art practice.

She is founder of Art Studio Izza, a Brampton-based collaborative focused on photography, contemporary art, education, and design with community engagement workshops.

Aditi has over two decades of experience as a visual artist and academic scholar. Her work is exhibited in various international exhibitions, and she has successfully conducted workshops and presented papers in seminars at several prestigious institutions. Fresh Paint Gallery, San Diego, California, USA, represents her work.

Colleen Dee

After receiving her BFA from Concordia University, she spent the majority of her career as a Graphic Designer and ultimately, a Creative Director for agencies and major corporations.

In 2007, she and her husband decided to pack up their life and go on a six-month adventure. That adventure turned into an incredible five years of living and working in Vietnam.

While in Vietnam, as in Canada, Dee continued to attract like-minded artists and developed a network of friends, peers and associates. Even though her physical art resources were lacking in Vietnam, this living
experience opened her eyes to a whole new range of artistic visuals.

These interests involved photography, which she manipulated and identified as PhotoART. Upon returning to Canada, she further developed her artistic skills in other mediums but particularly with sculptural ideas, as this medium was her first love, developing them from concept to tangible pieces, such as her Animal Paper Mache and Assemblage Art. 

Dee has exhibited and sold her art in Vietnam, Cambodia, USA and Canada.

ecmunson

ecmunson reignited her love for photography in 2018. Working with Hi-Res scans of her Kodachrome 64 slides and B&W film negaFves, these images are rendered on metal, acrylic-glass panels, canvas, and archival art papers. Her Analogue meets Digital World collection is Ltd. Ed. archival pigment prints in two series, colour and B&W.

Passionate about all things photography, darkroom number six is to be completed in 2026. She melds
the analogue with digital world in her photography and arts practice. Currently she works with her first DSLR
camera, enjoys creating soft pastel paintings, and organizes annual shows with the CONTACT Photography
Festival. 

Finding like-minded people and places to display work led to her joining several arts organizations, Visual Arts Brampton being the first and most recently, as an invited member of Southern Ontario Visual Artists (SOVA).

"I chase the light and work with nature’s paintbrush to create enduring images. The low-angled light of sunrise or the golden hour at end of day, fog or mist, are my preferred shooting conditions. Landscape and candid captures of people in everyday moments are what inspire me.

My drives through the hills of Halton and Headwaters are my favourite shooting haunts and remind me of the Finger Lakes area, where I grew up on a dairy farm."

Frank Myers

Frank Myers lives in Burlington, Canada. He’s been a photographer since he was a young adult, but since retiring, he describes photography as his “fulltime hobby.” 

He loves creating landscapes that capture the magic that happens when land, sky and water meet. He is also fascinated by the passage of time and the tension between beauty and decay. However, he says his most satisfying work involves photographing people, especially in candid or street photography and
environmental portraits.

Frank has mounted solo shows at the Art Gallery of Burlington’s Fireside Room and area cafes and libraries. He shows regularly in juried exhibitions, including: 

• Robert McLaughlin Gallery (Oshawa),
• Art Gallery of Burlington, Blue Mountain
• Foundation for the Arts (Collingwood)
• McMaster Innovation Park (Hamilton),
• and the Thames Art Gallery (Chatham).

He was particularly gratified to be presented with the Philip Jackman Photography Prize at the Orillia Museum of Art and History, 2025 being the first year it was awarded.

The Art Gallery of Burlington Art Sales and Rental program has carried Frank’s pieces. His work is regularly sold in the venerable Art Auction held by Dundas Valley School of Art.

Frank enjoys controlling the creative process from start to finish. In the film days, he developed and printed his work in black and white and colour. Now working digitally, he produces his own archival quality fine art prints.

Greg Coman

Greg Coman is a photographer based in Halton Hills, Ontario, whose work spans a range of photographic
genres and techniques. What began as a passion for photography has evolved into a professional prac@ce grounded in careful observa@on and a deep apprecia@on for light and atmosphere.

Greg has presented solo exhibitions in Halton and Toronto, and his work has appeared in numerous juried and group exhibitions, including several years in the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival. His photographs have also been exhibited at the Red Door Gallery (Georgetown), Holcim Gallery (Milton), Helson Gallery (Halton Hills), Kingsway Lambton (Etobicoke) as well as in exhibitions in his own studio.

Having studied photography at Sheridan College, Greg now enjoys mentoring emerging photographers,
including teaching photography at Appleby College. He has served as an adjudicator for several photographic exhibitions, including the CONTACT Photography Festival.

His work has been published in numerous magazines, including WestJet magazine, the Bruce Trail
Conservancy Magazine, and NEViews Magazine. His photographs are often featured in Halton Hills Today, where he documents local events. 

Working across both analog and digital processes, Greg continues to explore photography as a medium for
seeing and sharing the subtle beauty present in everyday moments.

Andrezj Pradzynski

Andrezj Pradzynski is an experienced photographer who has worked with film and digital photography over the years. A man for all seasons, he is equally at home in the studio, where he controls the lighting and
poses, as out in the field working with the vagrancies of weather and light in urban and rural settings.

From local competitions to commercial sales of his images and various publishers’ contests, Pradzjski’s honed composition skills yield evocative and dramac images. He specializes in capturing moody landscapes, emotive portraits, urban scenes, and more.

Pradzynski has held solo exhibitions at galleries such as Art Gallery of Burlington and Artworks Oakville, and a featured artist at the 26th Art in the Workplace Exhibit held at the McMaster Innovation Park.

As a dedicated photography enthusiast, he constantly is seeking new challenges and striving for perfection in conveying the emotions and storytelling aspects of his images. 

Active with the Latow Photography Guild, he was president from 2018-19 and served for several years as an executive member on the board. He belongs to the Art Gallery of Burlington, other local arts groups, and the Photographic Society of America.

Sabrina Leeder

Sabrina Leeder, BFA, SCA is a lens based artist from the Toronto region, holding a BFA in Photography from
OCAD University (2016).

Shaped by her background in sports photography and her work as a photographer and restoration specialist with the Hockey Hall of Fame, her fine art practice explores the intricacies of the human experience through the lens.

Leeder has exhibited widely across North America and Europe, with recent highlights including a solo exhibition at Kent Farndale Gallery.

Leeder has been accepted into many juried shows including the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, the Art Gallery of
Northumberland, and the Artist Project Toronto. She is a 2025 Pollux Award Category Winner and recipient of an Honourable Mention from the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Women Photographers. Her work is held in private collections throughout Canada and the United States.

As owner of the Preston Gallery in Uxbridge, ON, and Artist in Residence since 2018, Leeder champions
Canadian artists while continuing to challenge the conventions of traditional photography.

Leeder is an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artist.

Sherry Prenevost

Sherry Prenevost is an artist, advocate and internationally recognized Canadian photographer whose work
explores the intersection of humanity, culture and the natural world. Her photography has been presented to
global leaders, including the Queen of England, the Governor General of Canada and David Suzuki.

A recipient of the MARTY Award for Established Visual Artist of the Year and a nominee for CBC’s Champions of Change, her work is exhibited internationally and held in prominent collections.

Rooted in social justice and environmental stewardship, her evocative imagery reflects the interconnectedness of people, land and spirit - inviting dialogue, understanding and meaningful change. Prenevost’s current initiatives include:

• Work with a top ten Latin American university on art-based research in ethnography with indigenous peoples to combine art and research as a tool of voice and autonomy. Indigenous People in Mexico will be taught photography so THEY may capture their own stories in conjunction with mine. Research will be visual (art
  based).
• Curation of work and mentoring artists with Intellectual disabilities.
• Advisor to Board of Directors “Cameras for Girls”, an organization that teaches photography to young women to bring these students out of poverty and provide income.
