Town of Shelburne Hiring Municipal Law Enforcement Supervisor

The Town of Shelburne is looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join its team as a Municipal Law Enforcement Supervisor.

Reporting directly to the Director of Legislative Services/Clerk, the successful candidate will oversee the Town’s bylaw enforcement operations, supervise Municipal Law Enforcement staff, and help ensure compliance with municipal bylaws and provincial regulations through education, investigation, and enforcement.

The role includes managing complex bylaw investigations, conducting inspections, gathering evidence, issuing notices and penalties when required, and supporting enforcement matters through legal proceedings. The successful candidate will also provide leadership and direction to Bylaw Enforcement Officers, coordinate daily operations, and work closely with residents, businesses, community groups, and external agencies.

The Town is offering a competitive 2026 hourly wage ranging from $39.88 to $46.91, along with enrollment in the OMERS Pension Plan, access to an Employee Assistance Program, professional development opportunities, and unlimited access to educational webinars through the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CCDI).

Applicants should have a two-year post-secondary diploma in law enforcement, police foundations, justice, or a related field, along with at least two years of supervisory or team lead experience in an enforcement or regulatory environment. MLEOA Part I certification is required, while Part II certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire. A valid Ontario Class G driver's licence and satisfactory Criminal Record Check are also required.
