Tax Certificate

A tax certificate provides a statement of any outstanding property tax amounts owing on a specific property. If you're purchasing a property, ordering a tax certificate ensures there are no unpaid taxes at the time of transfer.

Anyone can request a tax certificate by submitting a written request along with the applicable fee, payable to the Town of Shelburne.

Fees

$80.00 Tax Certificate (re-finance)
$100.00 Express tax certificate (same day)
$120.00 Tax and Water Certificate (prompted by ownership change)
