Community Pathway Improvement
The Town of Shelburne is undergoing community pathway improvements.
Background
This project will help develop a comprehensive network of accessible all season trails and pathways outlined as desired parks and recreation amenities in town. The project will enhance connectivity and improve surfacing conditions.
The project will include the construction & surfacing of the new KTH Park Trail, as well as asphalt resurfacing and widening of the following existing trails:
Greenwood Avenue linkage
Greenwood Park pathway
Simon Street linkage
Simon Street Park pathway
Pathways will be closed while work is underway. Please use extra caution around work areas and obey all signage.
Goals and Outcomes
Multi-use trails are paved and intended to support the broadest range and highest level of use including recreational trail activities and active transportation via a full range of pedestrian and nonmotorized transportation, such as walking, jogging/running, cycling, rollerblading and scooters, with motorized use limited to accessibility needs and Town maintenance vehicles, provide or enhance student walking routes, and are accessible and maintained year-round.
