Grace Tipling Hall Revitalization Project
In 2020 the Town of Shelburne applied for funding for a feasibility study for Grace Tipling Hall through Innoweave (McConnell Foundation) and Senco (at Georgian College) – both are social enterprise incubators. Town of Shelburne was approved for $8,000.00 in funding for our Innoweave Social Enterprise Implementation Coaching project. An additional $4500 was awarded from SENCO.
The feasibility research explored how to maintain a sustainable Grace Tipling Concert Hall as an urban amenity promoting social prosperity, and contribute to the following outcomes:
- Contributions and alignment to CIP Long-term vision for key public cultural asset
- Develop mixed Public/private collaboration and investment
- Create a lever or focus for broader Downtown streetscape and public events
- Improved and sustainable heritage urban amenity promoting social prosperity
On November 22, 2021 Council provided the following Motion

Grace Tipling Hall Revitalization Workshop
Join us on Tuesday March 2, 2021 6:30 Pm – 7:30 PM as we gather community input for the creation of a new civic arts and culture enterprise to operate within the Shelburne Town Hall.
We will work together to build a clear vision of how Grace Tipling Hall can best serve the community of Shelburne and surrounding areas.
Starting from our Community Improvement Plan (2019), and using an asset-mapping approach, workshop participants will assess and discuss the current context of the Hall, and how best to use or develop it to sustainably build community, culture, and other resources for the people of Shelburne.
This workshop will help the Town of Shelburne establish the scope and priorities for the forthcoming Grace Tipling Hall Feasibility Study."
