Each Tender submission must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond to be retained by the
Consulting Engineer for an amount of at least 10 percent (10%) of the total Tendered price made payable
to the Town of Shelburne. This contract is subject to the approval of the Town of Shelburne. The lowest
or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.

The Town of Shelburne is soliciting proposals from qualified HVAC contractors and equipment providers for the replacement of an existing AAON Make-Up Air Unit (Model:

RQ-003-8-V-EA09-359) at 203 Main St E. The new system must be integrated with the existing Building Automation System (BAS).

Proposals will be assessed on the information provided in the proposal. Evaluation will be based upon the following items:

  • Cost Proposal – 30 points
  • Project Understanding – 25 points
  • Team and Project Manager – 25 points
  • Experience and References – 20 points

The Town of Shelburne is seeking a qualified firm to design, supply and install one play structure and safety surfacing, preferably by the end of October 2025; however, should lead times impede feasibility of the preferred timeline, the bidder shall indicate their proposed completion date for consideration during the evaluation period.
This is a new installation of playground structures at Fiddle Park located at 105 2nd Line in the town of Shelburne. The play structures will be split into two play areas, as noted on the landscape plan. The playground needs to be inclusive, fit well contextually, and perform well in the outdoor environment. 

Preferred completion date for the Playground covered in this document is by the end of October, 2025.

The Corporation of the Town of Shelburne is inviting proposals for the supply of:

  • two (2) 2025 Class 2b, Commercial, ¾ ton, Full Size, Multi-Purpose 4x4 Pick Up Truck with Crew Cab with the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) ranges from 8,501-10,000 lbs. (3,856-4,536 kg).

Examples of vehicles in the Heavy Duty class include selected Ford F-250 trucks, Dodge Ram 2500, Chevrolet Silverado 2500, or GMC Sierra 2500.

  • one (1) 2025 Mid-Size SUV.

Examples of vehicles in the Mid-Size SUV include selected Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Traverse, Chevrolet Blazer, or Honda Pilot.

The units offered must be a current model with the latest standard features available in the manufacturer’s design.

The Proponent is to meet or exceed the minimum specifications acceptable by the Town of Shelburne and in some cases may find it necessary to provide detail with respect to a noted specification to provide further explanation on why their product does or does not satisfy the specification. For additional details the “SPECIFY” column can be used to further explain the feature. In keeping with a transparent and fair evaluation, please provide documentation of additional features that may be of interest to the Town and may assist with the evaluation of tender submission.

The successful Proponent shall deliver, to the Town’s Operations Yard, two (2) fully equipped, 2025 Class 2b, Commercial, ¾ ton, Full Size, Multi-Purpose 4x4 Pick Up Truck with Crew Cab with compatible components and one (1) 2025 Mid-Size SUV with compatible components, to the satisfaction of Will Thomson, Manager of Operations, Parks and Facilities, by August 01st, 2025 or an alternative date, mutually agreed upon by both parties.

All Unit Bid Prices are to include the following, two (2) 2025 Class 2b, Commercial, ¾ ton, Full Size, Multi-Purpose 4x4 Pick Up Truck with Crew Cab and one (1) 2025 Mid-Size SUV specified herein in full conformity with the Town’s specifications.

DELIVERY DATE

The Proponent is responsible for providing a firm delivery date. The Town has the expectation of a completed vehicle delivered to the Operations Yard, 124 Luxton Way, Shelburne, ON, L9V 3M8, by August 01st, 2025 (negotiable).
Included on the tender form submission (Schedule B) is a commitment to confirm the delivery date of finished vehicles.

The Shelburne and District Fire Department invites quotes for the supply and delivery of one new Chief Command Vehicle for the Shelburne and District Fire Department. The proponent will be competent and capable of supplying the vehicle. The proponent may be required to provide evidence of previous experience and financial responsibility before an order is awarded.

The Town of Shelburne invites quotations for the supply and planting of 17 boulevard tree replacements. There are various boulevard locations on streets within the Town of Shelburne. Areas are marked for planting and Town Staff will be available for guidance and walk throughs (specific locations listed in Schedule A). Contractors are responsible for obtaining utility locates prior to planting. Please arrange site visits with Brad MacDonald, Operations Supervisor: 519-939-1342.

This project, if accepted, is proposed to be completed by November 30, 2024. There is a potential for increasing the number of trees planted based upon budget considerations and the final quoted cost accepted per tree. Quotations will be received until 3:00 pm Tuesday October 22, 2024.

The Town of Shelburne invites quotation for the removal and replacement of existing damaged sidewalks throughout the Town. The scope of the rehabilitation work is listed in detail on Schedule A. All labour, materials, delivery costs, and related traffic control must be stated clearly on Schedule A. Site visits while conducting the estimates are encouraged. The Town of Shelburne invites quotations for the supply and planting of 24 boulevard tree replacements. There are various boulevard locations on streets within the Town of Shelburne. Areas are marked for planting and Town Staff will be available for guidance and walk throughs (specific locations listed in Schedule A). Contractors are responsible for obtaining utility locates prior to planting.

This project, if accepted, is proposed to be completed by November 30, 2023. There is a potential for increasing the number of trees planted based upon budget considerations and the final quoted cost accepted per tree. Quotations will be received until 3:00 pm Friday September 22, 2023.
